Like his friend and mentor Joe Perry, Slash's concept of what makes a great Les Paul has changed greatly since the original Custom Shop Slash model of the late '90s. The new Slash Signature model focuses on utility over elegance.
The plain maple top and Custom Authentic finish combine with Duncan Alnico Pro II humbuckers and a Fishman Powerbridge piezo acoustic bridge (which can be used by itself or blended with the Duncans) to create an instrument that covers all the tonal bases.
