The Guild Starfire IV ST Maple is an extra-special version of the Starfire IV. Rather than being made of mahogany, as is the case with the standard model, this Starfire IV ST is made of, you guessed it, maple. This adds a brightness and snappiness to the tone that makes it great for lead playing. The maple top is also visually appealing, particularly in the transparent finishes Guild have given these guitars.Other features are the same as the other Starfire IV models, including a pair of Guild LB-1 mini humbuckers, classic Guild headstock logo, dot inlays and a rosewood fingerboard. Rather than a mahogany neck, the ST Maple model has a 3-piece maple/walnut/maple neck with a comfy soft U profile.
