The original Crybaby Q-Zone pedal has been firmly attached to Kerry King’s pedalboard throughout many years of playing in Slayer. The unique design of the Q-Zone allowed Kerry to create a focused and penetrating “fixed wah” tone to cut right through the mix when needed.
After years of discontinuing the original, the Q-Zone has finally been bought back, sporting all the controls of the original.
On the Q-Zone you have 3 controls, Volume, Q-Zone and Peak. The ‘Q-Zone’ control allows you to select the frequency breadth and the ‘Peak’ allows you to dial the frequency centre. This pedal can be used to shape searing lead tones or just more specific guitar sounds to help you cut through in the right places.
