Shure PGX24/Beta 58 Wireless System, K5E, Channel 38 Overview

Shure PGX4 Diversity Receiver, Shure PGX2/Beta 58 Handheld Transmitter, UHF operates in a higher frequency range than VHF systems. The VHF range is very highly populated with traffic, and because the VHF signal has a longer wave length, VHF radio signals pass through non-metallic walls easier than a UHF signal, making VHF wireless systems more prone to radio interference. Though more expensive than VHF wirelss, UHF is well worth the extra cost. Ease of set-up, with Automatic Frequency Selection and Automatic Transmitter Setup, the Shure PGX4 is the quickest and easiest wireles system to set up. The Audio Reference Companding delivers level dependent companding, compressing the audio signal before transmission, and expanding it after reception to deliver greater than 100dB dynamic range. It sounds like a wired guitar, with less noise and greater dynamic range than other wireless systems. The Shure PGX4 is a true diversity receiver with two antennas. The PGX4 continuously samples the output from the two antennas, and seamlessly selects the strongest signal, ensuring drop-out and interference free reception even in the most difficult RF spaces.
