Sound Lab Project
The snare drum is the keystone of any drummer's sound. At some points in the musical journey, the player will embark on a search for the perfect drum to enhance their sound. With that player in mind, Tama created the S.L.P. series.
Tama's extensive research and development process led to a varied offering of S.L.P. shell materials. Thickness and the specific parts were experimented with to find each shell material's full sonic potential.
With its Maple shell, this snare drum is a great example of what the S.L.P. series snare drum concept is all about. The combination of this choice of a hardwood shell, Super Sensitive Hi-Carbon Snappy Snares and Sound Arc Hoop results in a fully open and resonant sounding drum.
