The portable VOX DA5 Digital Amp can be powered by 6 C batteries or the included mains adapter, yet contains a collection of amplifier sound styles and built-in effects and 24-bit, 44.1 kHz signal processing. The DA5 features 11 guitar amplifier tones from clean to high gain, 11 single and combination digital effects including auto-wah, chorus + delay, chorus + reverb, compressor, compressor + chorus, compressor + phaser, delay, flanger + reverb, reverb, rotary + reverb, and tremolo + reverb, noise reduction, and a Tap button to set the delay time or modulation speed. The parameters of every effect can be adjusted.
The VOX DA5 makes the perfect practice combo. Plug a CD or MP3 line level signal into the AUX In, a dynamic mic into the MIC IN and rehearse. All DA5 inputs can be used simultaneously. The Headphone/Line output mutes the 6.5" 8 ohm speaker for headphone practicing or for direct connection into a mixer or recorder.
Unique to the VOX DA5 is a power select switch of 5 Watts, 1.5 Watts, or 0.5 Watt to allow the guitarist to open the volume to drive the DA5 for max tone while keeping the sound pressure level reasonable.
