NAMM 2019 – Fender Announces NEW 2019 Range!

Fender PowerCaster

The freshly-designed Powercaster was built from the ground up for high-octane musical fun and the ultimate in tonal versatility. Mixing the giant sound of an Atomic™ humbucking pickup with the articulate voice of a single-coil soapbar pickup, this guitar’s tone has a bit of an edge to it—perfect for slashing through a dense mix. A roasted maple neck and sweeping pickguard adds some visual flair to this unique instrument.

The secret to this guitar’s slashing tone is the pickup configuration. Unusual for a Fender guitar, we combined the girth of a humbucking bridge pickup with the edgy punch of a single-coil soapbar neck pickup. The “Modern C”-shaped neck is crafted from roasted maple, which makes it strong and resonant, as well as giving it an alluring look. The 9.5”-radius fingerboard is fast-playing and 22 medium-jumbo frets offer a familiar playing feel while extending the guitar’s range. The 24.75” scale length gives the Powercaster a unique feel and voice, and the strings are easier to bend thanks to the reduced tension of the shorter scale. For rock-solid tuning stability we added an Adjusto-matic bridge and sealed tuning machines.

With its offset body, unique pickup configuration and roasted maple neck, the Powercaster is just the thing to add some muscle to your music. Includes deluxe gig bag.

Fender Sixty-Six

Classic Fender sound meets unique visual style in the Sixty-Six, which makes a bold statement with its down-sized Jazz Bass body. The flexible HSS pickup configuration can crank out anything you ask from fat leads to funky rhythm tones. Combining vintage-inspired appointments with modern, player-oriented features, it’s packed with a ton of useful, unique sounds. Made for the stage, this instrument delivers the sound and feel we’re famous for, and then some.

Engineered for classic Fender tone, with a bit of an edge for modern guitarists, the fat-sounding Player Series humbucking bridge pickup is joined by a pair of snarling Player Series single-coil Tele® pickups in the middle and neck positions. The traditional five-way switch gets you all the tones you need from the unique pickup set. The six-saddle vintage-style synchronized tremolo keeps everything in tune while providing a dash of vintage aesthetics. Comfortable for almost any playing style, the neck sports a “Modern C”-shaped profile, along with a 9.5”-radius fingerboard and 22 medium-jumbo frets for a comfortable playing feel.

With its down-sized Jazz Bass body, flexible-sounding pickups and one-of-a-kind visual style, the Sixty-Six is an instrument that’s as unique as you. Includes deluxe gig bag.

Fender Artist Series Jimmy Page

When the opening riff of “Good Times Bad Times” came through the radio in 1969, everything changed. In that moment Jimmy Page cemented his legacy and altered the course of popular music with a single guitar: his Fender Telecaster. The Fender Jimmy Page Telecaster is an homage to that guitar, which began life in its factory White Blonde lacquer finish, then became the “mirror guitar” before taking on its final form – a magical one-of-a-kind instrument, hand-painted by Page himself, that would go on to produce some of the most iconic riffs of the 20th Century.

The Jimmy Page Telecaster features a two-piece ash body stripped and hand-painted with Page’s original design – colorful curls of green, orange, yellow, blue and red that snake around the guitar in a serpentine fashion. A pair of Fender Jimmy Page Custom Tele single-coil pickups deliver the incendiary, full-bodied tone that inspired the unforgettable licks on Led Zeppelin’s first album. The custom “”Thin D””-shaped maple neck has a 7.25”-radius slab rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets, giving it a smooth playing feel. The “top-loader” bridge allows for through-body or top-load stringing, which produces a rounder, warmer tone and less tension so you can bend the strings with ease. Other features include a bone nut, vintage-style tuning machines and disc string tree for an authentic style and performance.

Created alongside Page himself, the Jimmy Page Telecaster also boasts personalized touches like a Jimmy Page signature on the headstock and on the custom chrome neck plate, a red coiled cable and a vintage-style “stained glass” strap. About his beloved Telecaster, Jimmy said it best: “I really made it my own – it’s quite a magical guitar.”

Fender American Pro Jazzmaster, Maple Fingerboard, Left Handed

Originally intended for sophisticated jazz guitarists, the Jazzmaster was quickly embraced by musicians attracted to its left-of-center looks and fat sound. A direct descendent of the guitar that powered underground music from the late-‘60s to today, the American Professional Jazzmaster is ready to lend its unique sound to your playing.

An elegant model with flexible electronics and a rich voice, the Jazzmaster’s introduction in 1958 marked the first time a rosewood fingerboard was used on a Fender instrument. Thanks to its effortless playing feel and ergonomic offset-waist body, the Jazzmaster has powered infinite musical genres, including surf rock, gospel, new wave and indie rock, among others.

Developed by longtime pickup guru Michael Frank, creator of the renowned Eric Johnson Signature Stratocaster® Pickups, the brand-new V-Mod Jazzmaster pickups kick out hot, vintage-inspired tone with plenty of punch and definition. Retain high end clarity when adjusting the volume controls, thanks to the new treble-bleed tone circuit. The new modern, deep “C”-shaped neck profile feels just right in your hand while the narrow-tall frets make it easy to bend strings accurately and play perfectly intonated chords. The improved tremolo and bridge incorporate a screw-in arm and brass Mustang saddles that stabilize the strings while adding a touch of sonic zip to your tone.

The best of yesterday and today, the American Professional Jazzmaster is the latest form of electric inspiration from Fender. Step up and stake your claim to a legend.
