Native Instruments introduce highly anticipated NKS Version 2.0 with effects integration!
Since NI announced that key effects manufacturers such as Waves, Eventide and Softube will be adopting their Native Control Standard format, producers and songwriters have been itching for this to come to fruition.
For those not savvy with what NKS actually is (don’t worry some of you must be), ‘Native Kontrol Standard’ is native Instruments own extended plug-in format that connects various supported software instruments and now EFFECTS, to their Maschine hardware and Komplete Kontrol keyboard range. The result is seamless pre-mapping with the NI and Maschine range, providing hands-on intuitive control over your instruments and effects processing, faster browsing, instant sound previews and more.
Over 75 industry-leading manufacturers have jumped aboard the NKS format, the result is a vast array of instruments and now effects, all of NI’s own effects are NKS-ready and now 3rd party manufacturers who have joined/set to join include Waves, Sugar Bytes, iZotope, Eventide, Ohm Force and many more.
This is a great step for Native Instruments and a massive creative opening for budding producers who use the NI/Maschine range, as Native Instruments CEO Daniel Haver states, “NKS breaks down the barriers between the ideas in your head and the music coming out of your monitors – it’s incredibly exciting to see this brought to the field of creative processing, too.”
