The annual Rode show took place last week during NAMM and Rode announced as many as six new microphones to add to their already impressive collection.
Announced by RODE as the worlds first on camera Ambisonic microphone, the VideoMic Soundfield is the peferct mic for VR photography.
The new updated VideoMic Pro+ is an on-camera shotgun mic with a host of brilliant features. These include digital switching, improved battery cover, USB power and a lockable/removable output cable.
Next up we have the TFM-50 Spherical Omni Valve Microphone which has been produced in collaboration with Grammy Award winning producer Tony Faulkner.
The NT-49 features a very similar design to the TFM-50, however it is a polar patterned large-diaphragm condenser.
A valve based version of the popular NT-R has also been released. It brings the amazing features of the original, but with added classic analog valve tone.
And last but not least is the NT-5 Cardiod condenser microphones which come as a matched pair. They feature RODE’s improved capsule technology.
