Apollo is back with a complete redesign of their popular 2×6 Thunderbolt audio interface. The Universal Audio Apollo MK2 Interface.
Available to buy with either Solo, Duo or new Quad Core processing, this 2-in/6-out interface has redesigned A/D and D/A conversion which helps to improve both dynamic range and ultra-low THD. It features Unison technology on the pre amps that’s said to deliver increased dynamic range and the front-panel DI is designed to mimic the sound of famous solid-state preamps, guitar amps and stompboxes such as those from Neve, API and Fender. and ultra-low THD.
The unit is a 24-bit/192kHz interface. There are two Unison mic/line inputs, two monitor outputs and two line outs at the rear, a headphone output and high-impedance instrument input on the front.
The unit contains greatly improved monitoring capabilities and bundled with the interface are UAD’s “Analog Classics” bundle of plug-ins including impressive compressors, EQ, distortion and lots more.
