Neumann U 87 Rhodium Edition Overview
Neumann U 87 Rhodium Edition Product Overview by GAK
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic U 87 microphone, Neumann are offering a limited Rhodium Edition of the model. Rhodium reflects more light than any other precious metal and is even rarer than gold. Very limited numbers of the Rhodium Edition are being manufactured worldwide, so be sure to purchase one while you have the chance.
The legendary U 87 diaphragm condenser studio microphone is renowned for its warm, rich sound reproduction and precision engineering. It features a large dual-diaphragm capsule with three direction patterns (omnidirectional, cardioid and figure-8), selectable with a switch below the headgrille.
Elsewhere, a 10dB attenuation switch is located on the rear, enabling the microphone to handle SPLs up to 127dB without any distortion. Furthermore, the low-frequency response can be reduced to compensate for proximity effect.
A first choice for professional studios.
