Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster, Maple Neck, 2 Colour Sunburst Overview

Fender Deluxe Nashville Tele Product Overview By GAK

With the Deluxe Nashville Tele, Fender has brought together two of their most popular guitars. They've used the design of the Telecaster and utilised some of the pickup configs from the Stratocaster.

There are two noise-free, Vintage Noiseless Tele pickups on the neck and middle positions and a Vintage Noiseless Strat pickup also in the middle. Together they combine to provide a very rich, crisp tone. The guitar also contains five-way Strat pickup switching, allowing you to truly shape the tone of your guitar.

Other key features include a contoured neck heel and 4-bolt asymmetrical neck plate and a 12" radius fingerboard.

The guitar comes in a beautiful 2 colour Sunburst finish.

Fender Product Overview

Straight from the studios of Music Row in the home of country music—Nashville, TN—comes the Deluxe Nashville Tele, a tonally versatile performer with a unique (for a Tele) three-pickup design. A distinctive entry into the Fender family, this Tele growls, snaps and screams with flexible tone that can match any song. With its original Fender style, customized switching and fast, smooth playing feel, this Tele is ready to command any stage from the local honky-tonk to the Grand Ol’ Opry.

Two noise-free, highly articulate Vintage NoiselessTM Tele pickups inhabit the neck and middle positions, flanking the Vintage Noiseless Strat pickup in the middle to create an unbeatable trio. These pickups crank out rich, articulate tone, with the balanced string response, defnition and twang you’ve come to expect from a genuine Fender instrument. Flexible five-way Strat pickup switching unlocks various pickup combinations, providing the perfect sound for any performance. Enjoy increased sustain and slightly thicker tone that complements the famous Tele twang, thanks to the modern six-saddle string-through-body bridge with block saddles.

A contoured neck heel and 4-bolt asymmetrical neck plate make it easy to comfortably reach the upper registers of the neck. The flatter 12"-radius fingerboard makes it easy to play fast leads and perform deep bends without fretting out. Locking short-post tuning machines provide increased break angle at the nut for buzz-free playing and enhanced tuning stability, along with quicker string changes. Classic aesthetic touches include nickel/chrome hardware and a three-ply B/W/B or mint green pickguard, along with knurled  at-top control knobs and a black switch tip. A truly versatile performer with flexible sound, player-oriented features and original aesthetics, the Deluxe Nashville Tele merges the best of yesterday and today into a single, affordable design.

This is a lovely instrument to play and to look at and I am really pleased that I eventually took the plunge having had my eye on one for ages. Having mostly played Gibson semi-acoustics over the years, I wanted a versatile solid body. Many moons ago I had a Tele Deluxe (but not the Nashville version), it had 2 humbuckers and I loved it.. The sonic possibilities of the Nashville though has been a real draw for me and it sounds terrific through my 90's Fender 85 combo. It took a little while to adjust to the feel of the neck (and the weight - those semis you see), and while it may or may not become my main squeeze I have already enjoyed hours of fun getting to know it. Originally I thought I would go for the Daphne Blue, but I eventually went for the 2 colour sunburst, which sits very nicely beside my other guitars. Very happy!

Coming from an early JV Squier strat to my first actual Fender I am really loving it. The 12”radius fretboard took a few minutes to adjust to but no more. And it is really way to play - set up out of the box is excellent - I might lower the action just a tiny bit - really pleased with this
