The Blackstar ID:Core BEAM Bluetooth Amplifier is a groundbreaking new amp from Blackstar. It will be familiar to any users of existing ID:Core models, but with new features that lend itself to versatility and usability. You can stream music direct from another device, such as your smartphone, and play along to it. This can be useful for writing and learning songs and playing along to click and drum tracks. What's more, you're not just limited to using your electric guitar. The ID:Core BEAM has been designed to handle electro-acoustic instruments and even bass guitar. This makes it the ideal practice amp for multi-instrumentalists. What's more, separate ports for the left and right speakers in the BEAM mean you get tight response across all frequencies and stereo definition that is beyond the capabilities of lesser amplifiers. The ID:Core Beam even outperforms dedicated MP3 docks thanks to its impeccable build quality.

It's early days but I haven't yet managed to get the Insider software to work on my PC for some reason. The amp is a well-built, sturdy piece of kit and the direct on-board sounds are excellent. It is ideal as a practice amp and well worth the price. I would highly recommend this product.

I would give the amp 5 stars if it wasn't for the not so brilliant raw sound to match backing tracks I use, with headphones the sound is great quality from the amp and matchs backing tracks very well bass wise, however when I use it raw it struggles to match the backing track comming through my phone via Bluetooth base wise anyways, maybe not using it to its potential. I can't fault the features it has. I bought it for its multi instrument use which is excellent. Only had for a few weeks so still learning. I particularly like the simulated acoustic guitar. Handy when you just want a change without switching guitars. Actually I played electric guitar through the bass setting interesting! Still a great amp.
