Cole Clarke Little Lady Acoustic, Natural, Second-Hand Overview
Cole Clark Guitars Overview
Cole Clark stands out as one of the only mainstream acoustic guitar builders utilizing Spanish Heel or Integral Neck Construction, resulting in a tonal character unlike any other. Unlike other guitars where the body is made first and the neck is then attached via a bolt or dovetail joint, Cole Clark guitars feature a neck that is glued to the face, with the back and sides forming a single piece extending to the sound hole. This construction is essential for their advanced pickup technology and contributes to their unique tonal character. Additionally, Cole Clark employs a carved top and back, and uses a ridge system to join the sides to the top and back, instead of traditional kerfing.
Cole Clark’s patented pickup system is renowned for its natural acoustic sound, effectively eliminating the piezo “quack” often associated with amplified guitars. This is achieved by using various elements that each handle specific frequencies. The system includes six loaded piezos under the saddle for the bottom end, a face sensor that can be blended in to capture mid to high range frequencies (up to 350 Hz), and a condenser microphone designed to pick up only the extreme highs.
Cole Clark guitars are crafted from all solid timber, primarily using sustainable native Australian tonewoods. This commitment to sustainability and innovative design makes Cole Clark guitars truly exceptional.
