I bought this ukulele for my wife. As I didn't know much about ukuleles I did a bit of online research and narrowed it down to a couple which I felt would be good for a beginner. I was looking for something that didn't feel cheap was well made and had great tone. I hit the nail on the head with this instrument. It's a lovely ukulele for the money. It arrived well set up and plays very nicely. It's also nicely appointed with ivoroid binding around the all mahogany laminate body and on the neck which I liked. It has open backed tuners which some reviewers didn't like but they work well and aren't too heavy so the instrument feels balanced. All in all a great wee uke for the money. There are hundreds of Ukuleles out there, and looks and tones are very subjective. But if you're a beginner and looking to delve into the uke world this ukulele is well worth a look. Would have given 5 stars if it came with a soft case.
Lovely little ukulele. Excellent quality and probably one of the better concert ukulele's that you can get for under £100. I love the abalone detailing on the front and the mahogany wood.
great instrument for beginner like myself. Love the look and the size
I bought this on the back of many great reviews from Amazon to specialist sites and YouTube - I wasn't disappointed! The tone and volume are pretty good and the uke itself has a few nice touches - full binding and an abalone rosette - that are quite impressive for a sub-£100 instrument. The build quality is good, but don't expect the silky-smooth finish of more expensive instruments. My only gripe would be the open-gear tuners, but they work well enough and hold tuning better than expected. If you're looking for a great first uke that will give you hours of fun, this is a great choice!
A great ukelele at this price. Nicely finished and plays well.
