Cordoba C9 Classical Guitar is a beautiful instrument that is ideal for classical, jazz and Spanish guitar. Cordoba have given the C9 two different tops, a cedar model and a spruce model are available. Although similar in tone, cedar offers a little extra warmth, while spruce is slightly springier. Spruce is also a paler wood than the more amber-coloured cedar. The fan bracing pattern used in the construction of the C9 gives it more resonance by having a larger surface area to vibrate. The improvement of tone and boost in volume is noticeable and the C9 outperforms many other classical guitars at this price point. Another factor contributing to this quality is the Spanish heel construction, allowing for more sustain and better transfer of energy. Cordoba have included a two-way truss rod in the neck which gives it more stability and reliability. Other features include a gorgeous mother-of-pearl weave rosette based on a '20s Domingo Esteso guitar, rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge, high gloss finish and a lightweight polyfoam case.
