The Earthquaker Devices Interstellar Orbiter is the most in-depth filter pedal we've ever seen. At the Interstellar Orbiter's core is a single LFO that sweeps each of the two filters in opposite directions. Combined with its three universal controls (a master Frequency control, master LFO Rate control and Direct control) you have the scope to make some out there sounds, especially given that the Frequency and LFO Rate controls can be adjusted with separate expression pedals. The Rate sweeps the filters in either direction across a huge range. Each of the filters has a different voice and both are adjustable with their Intensity, Resonance and Mix controls. The filter gets wider when the Intensity is all the way up, while the Resonance gets ringier the further up it goes. The Mix adjusts each filter's volume. With so many possible tones to make, you run the risk of disappearing into an Interstellar Orbiter parrallel dimension of tweaking- but it would so worth it.
