Elektron Digitone Synthesiser overview by GAK.
The Elektron Digitone is an all-new FM synth with four parts and a built-in sequencer. The sequencer features 4 synth tracks and four MIDI tracks with an arpeggiator per track, polyphonic sequencing, the list goes on. Elektron have really hit their stride in terms of form function and usability with their latest generation of products. The Elektron Digitone is no exception. This all-new 8 voice FM digital synth combines the diamond edged glassy tones typically associated with FM with a classic subtractive signal flow. Allowing additional tonality and sound shaping possibilities never before seen in a product of this type.
Elektron Digitone includes 512 factory sounds, some of which were developed by the likes of DivKid, Mark Fell, Zabutom and more. Plus of course, Digitone is equipped with all the classic tones you expect from an FM synthesiser. Naturally, Elektron Digitone is OVERBRIDGE equipped out of the box too.

Wow, does this box produce some great sounds straight out of the box. Only had it a few days, but even playing with the presets is great fun. Did a lot of research on this as it's visually very similar to the Digitakt, which I still find hard work to navigate around. Maybe the experience with the Digitakt informed me of the Elektron way of doing things, but I found the Digitone MUCH easier to pick up and use. Great little compact box, exceptionally well built and solid, good long power lead and plays well with my midi controllers and sequencer. Love it !
