The Epiphone ES-175 Premium is a faithful reproduction of one of the most classic electric archtops ever created. This is the Epiphone take on guitar you've heard on all those rock 'n' roll and jazz classics. In the hands of players like Joe Pass, Scotty Moore, and Wes Montgomery, the ES-175 has been a hugely instrumental guitar.

The ES-175 Premium features Gibson USA '57 Classic pickups and a vintage-inspired "aged" Lacquer finish that feels more like a 50's original than you thought a guitar at this price could.

Originally introduced back in '49 as an affordable version of the bigger bodied L-5, the very first modern archtop and the inspiration for the best Gibson and Epiphone archtops of the jazz era. Back then the ES-175 was seen as a modern guitar that was hotter and louder than what came before and pre-dated the start of the rock 'n' roll revolution. The ES-175 was the first archtop with a sharp Florentine cutaway. In '57 it got an upgrade to the then new, now standard, humbucker pickup.

The bound Rosewood fingerboard has classic split-parallelogram inlays and Epiphone's iconic "sloped dovewing" headstock is fitted with Grover 18:1 machine heads for quick, accurate, and intuitive tuning, and a standard 1.68" nut.

The bridge is set up with a traditional floating Rosewood base supporting a fully adjustable nickel Tune-o-matic bridge. The bridge is "pinned" to ensure perfect placement and intonation every time.
