Epiphone Limited Edition Masterbilt AJ-500RCE (Natural Satin)
The Epiphone Masterbilt AJ-500RCE electro is the introduction ofone the most legendary acoustic guitar shapes to the critically acclaimed Masterbilt series. This is the Masterbilt take on the awesome Dreadnought.
The Masterbilt Series was originally released back in June 1931 and were loved by all styles of players. The current series of Masterbilts aim to continue and extend that legacy, around the world, and to a new generation of musicians. The original Epiphone '30s Masterbilt catalogue contained the promise that "the possessor of an Epiphone instrument has the assurance that every possible precaution has been taken to build instruments for lifetime performance and pleasure", Epiphone continue that promise to this very day.
Ever Masterbilt, including the AJ-500RCE, features a Solid Sitka Spruce top. Plus the AJ-500RCE has a modern cutaway, hand-scalloped Sitka Spruce braces, Mahogany kerfing along with a Rosewood bridge and a bone saddle. One of the best features of af a great solid Spruce top is that it develops as it ages, the more you play it, the better it gets! Just like the vintage originals the AJ-500RCE has solid Mahogany back and sides. it also has hand-shaped, solid mahogany, neck with a 1-piece heel attached to the body with a dovetail joint and hide glue.
Thanks to Shadow's state-of-the-art Sonic preamp system, with under-saddle NanoFlex low-impedance pickup, you can plug this Masterbilt in and know that it's going to sound great. And the preamp's discretely mounted inside the sound hole, so it doesn't ruin the vintage vibe. The NanoFlex pickup is one of the only pickups that sense both the vibrations of the strings and the movements of the soundboard simultaneously, so the AJ-500RCE still sounds truly "acoustic" when hooked up to an amp.
The AJ-500RCE features Epiphone's quality Nickel hardware with Grover Sta-Tite tuners. The Epiphone Masterbilt mark of quality is known around world on stages of all sizes.
