The Epiphone Prophecy series first launched back in 2008, and the collection was hailed by metal guitarists as the ultimate blend of tradition and innovation. The latest version of this collection features a sleek and modern update on Inspired by Gibson body shapes, and features classics such as Les Paul, SG, the Explorer, and the Flying V, perfect for hard-rock and metal players.

The updates for this collection feature Fishman’s state-of-the-art Fluence pickups, to deliver three distinct tones, as well as locking tuners, Ebony fingerboards, standard 24 frets, and fancy block and triangle inlays.

Epiphone Prophecy Extura

The Epiphone Prophecy Extura has combined the elegance and narrower waist of the Gibson Explorer body with the deeper cutaway and improved upper fret access of the Gibson Futura. Playability is also improved by the mahogany neck’s modern contoured heel. The new Fishman Fluence pickups take a starring role and have three different tones - a hot modern humbucker, a warm Gibson BurstBucker/”Patent Applied For” vintage humbucker, and a slightly overwound single-coil sound.

Other features include a 24 fret ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets with block and triangle inlays made from abalone to complement the body colour, an asymmetrical SlimTaper neck with a contoured heel for easier and more comfortable access to the upper frets, custom binding, brushed nickel plating, a black Graph Tech NuBone nut to increase tuning stability, tone, harmonics, and volume, and Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece for added sustain.

The Epiphone Prophecy Extura is available in Yellow Tiger Aged Gloss or Purple Tiger Aged Gloss with AAA figured maple top, or Black Aged Gloss in a plain top. Case sold separately.

Epiphone Flying V Prophecy

The Epiphone Flying V Prophecy is the latest version of this classic Epiphone, with the standout being a pair of custom voiced Fishman Fluence pickups - a hot modern humbucker, a shimmering hum-free slightly overwound single-coil sound, and a warm “Patent Applied For” vintage humbucker, all giving three very distinct tones.

Other features include a 24 fret ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets and custom block and triangle inlays made from mother of pearl and abalone to compliment the body colour, an asymmetrical SlimTaper neck with a contoured heel for easier access to the upper frets, improved tuning stability, tone, volume, and harmonics with a black Graph Tech NuBone nut, brushed nickel plating, custom binding, and added sustain with Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece.

The Epiphone Flying V Prophecy is available in Yellow Tiger Aged Gloss with AAA figured maple top, and Black Aged Gloss in a plain top. Case sold separately.

Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy

The Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy combines the iconic Gibson body shape with fresh updates, front-and-centre of these are a pair of custom voiced Fishman Fluence pickups. These state-of-the-art pickups deliver three different tones - a hot modern active humbucker sound, a hum-free, slightly overwound single-coil sound, and a warm “Patent Applied For” vintage humbucker.

Other features include Grover locking Rotomatic tuners, a black Graph Tech NuBone nut which increases tuning stability as well as allowing more tone, volume, and harmonics, custom binding, a 24 fret ebony fingerboard with jumbo frets with block and triangle abalone inlays, an asymmetrical SlimTaper neck to improve comfort, playability and access to the upper frets, added sustain with Epiphone’s LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece, brushed nickel plating, and ultra-modern weight relief.

The Epiphone Les Paul Prophecy is available in Red Tiger Aged Gloss, Olive Tiger Aged Gloss, and Black Aged Gloss with AAA figured maple top.

Epiphone Prophecy SG

The Epiphone Prophecy SG combines a high-performance update with the classic SG body, making it a great option for progressive guitarists.

Fishman Fluence pickups have been added to give three different voicing options - high gain, modern active high-output humbucker with both controls pushed in, classic PAF-style humbucker when the tone control is pulled out, and a hum-free, California-style slightly overwound single-coil tones when the volume control is pulled out.

Other features include the SlimTaper asymmetrical mahogany neck to improve playability and access to the higher frets, a 24 fret ebony fingerboard that has jumbo frets with block and triangle pearloid/abalone inlays, a black Graph Tech NuBone nut, and brushed nickel Grover Locking Rotomatic tuners.

The mahogany body has a 1/2" maple cap and AAA flame maple veneer, with a thinner Aged Vintage Gloss finish.
