Fender Custom Shop '63 Stratocaster, Lush Closet Classic, Desert Sand Overview

Fender Custom Shop '63 Stratocaster, Desert Sand, Lush Closet Classic Overview by GAK

This 2 piece Alder Body Strat has been given the Relic treatment, finished in Nitrocellulose lacquer, Desert Sand. The Lush Closet Classic finish give this the look of a cherished instrument that's been taken care of over the years, but has aged nonetheless. The 10/56 soft "V" Shaped Neck has been topped off with a AAA Rosewood fingerboard, with a 9.5" Radius and Medium Jumbo frets, for a more modern feel. The wiring is also modern, with bridge wired to tone and tone saver circuit for keeping that treble as you roll back the volume. Which you'll want to preserve, because those hand wound Fat-60s pickups with the middle reverse wound and reverse polarity, sound AMAZING.

A Fender Custom Shop instrument is as good as it gets. You know it when you play one—it’s filled with intangible, electrifying elements that adds a new dimension to your playing experience. It’s as if the instrument itself is imbued with history, and is as close as it gets to an original build Fender from the Golden Era.

The Custom Shop builders are completely dedicated to their art, they’re the best at what they do, and they pour all of their passion, hard-earned knowledge and skill into every instrument they build. It’s no ordinary place, and the creations that come from it are no ordinary instruments. Whether they're Teambuilt or Masterbuilt.

If you want to create a completely custom instrument bespoke for you, it can be done. Custom-Built is for those prefer to start with one of Fender's time-honored models and personalise the specifications to meet your specific needs. Masterbuilt is for something a little special, a guitar that wll make your dreams come true, built to your exacting standards. Just speak to one of our advisors at GAK.
