This limited-edition Fender Custom Shop '51 Precision Bass is a masterfully crafted ode to one of the most iconic and desirable bass guitars of all time. The Fender Precision Bass, or P-Bass, was the first production solid-body bass guitar and revolutionised music upon its launch in 1951. With this particular model, the Fender Custom Shop have faithfully recreated the first incarnation of the Precision Bass. The period-correct spec includes a slab Ash body with no contours, a solid Quarter Sawn Maple neck, a '51 P-Bass “U” profile, Vintage Upgrade 45085 frets and a handwound '55 P-Bass pickup. The result is a bass that boasts the timeless charm, iconic tone and smooth playability of that legendary Fender bass guitar.
