This limited-edition Fender Custom Shop '68 Telecaster Relic in Black Paisley boasts a strident, articulate tone to compliment its classy looks. Built by the Custom Shop’s highly revered luthiers using the finest tonewoods and components, there’s no doubting that this '68 Tele is an elite instrument.

The balanced, sustain-rich natural tone of this Fender Custom Shop guitar is thanks to a classic tonewood combination - a 2-piece Alder body (carved to a classic '67 Tele shape) and a Rift Sawn Maple neck & fretboard. The 7.25" - 9.50" radius fretboard presents a versatile, modern feel that’s complemented by the 21 Narrow Tall 6105 frets.

A highlight of this Fender Custom Shop '68 Telecaster’s feature-set is its impressive pickups - a punchy Twisted Tele in the neck and a beautiful Handwound Original Blackguard in the bridge. These single-coils deliver plenty of twang and a crisp articulation that can handle a wide range of styles with ease.

The Custom Shop have given this '68 Tele their Relic treatment, which imparts the authentic worn-in wear of a battle-hardened vintage Fender. Featuring extensive finish checking, exposed wood, oxidised hardware and discoloured parts - this guitar has been a faithful companion through countless gigs and performances over the decades.
