Fender Made In Japan Traditional '60s Stratocaster, Sonic Blue Overview

Fender’s Made In Japan models are high-quality electric guitars that are just as good as their American made counterparts. Made in Fender’s factories in Japan, expert luthiers use their experience and attention to detail to combine classic Fender designs with some updated specs for the modern player.

The Stratocaster is one of the most popular electric guitars around - the distinctive body shape was revolutionary at the time, and has become a firm favourite ever since, used by guitarists in many genres thanks to its incredible tonal versatility.

The Fender Made In Japan Traditional '60s Stratocaster has a basswood body, a durable maple neck with a comfortable ‘U’-shape profile, and a smooth rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage size frets and a 9.5” radius, making it faithful to the era and easier to play. It has a 6-saddle vintage-style synchronised tremolo bridge so you can get some smooth vibrato sounds or crazy pitch bends depending on the type of music you want to play, and is paired with vintage-style tuning machines to complete the vintage aesthetic and provide increased tuning stability.

For pickups, it has three vintage-style single-coil Strat pickups which deliver a wide range of tones from bright, articulate leads and chicken pickin’ to chunky rhythm parts, with a 5-way pickup switcher letting you easily switch between your favourite pickup combinations. The Traditional ‘60s Strat is completed with a mint green pickguard, nickel/chrome-plated hardware and is available with a gloss finish in Fiesta Red, Sonic Blue or 3-Colour Sunburst.
