Fender Made In Japan Traditional '60s Telecaster

Fender’s Made In Japan models are high-quality electric guitars that are just as good as their American made counterparts. Made in Fender’s factories in Japan, expert luthiers use their experience to combine classic Fender designs with some updated specs for the modern player.

The Telecaster is used by musicians all over the world as their workhorse guitar, known for its powerful, punchy tones and ‘Tele twang’. It was first introduced in 1950 as the ‘Broadcaster’ 1950 then shortly after became the Telecaster in 1951, becoming a popular model, and has remained unchanged since then. The Tele is great for playing powerful-sounding chords and chunky rhythm parts and is popular across many genres.

The Fender Made In Japan Traditional '60s Telecaster has a basswood body, a durable maple neck with a comfortable ‘U’-shape profile, and a smooth rosewood fingerboard with 21 vintage size frets and a 9.5” radius, making it faithful to the era and easier to play. It has a 3-saddle vintage-style Tele bridge with threaded steel saddles and is paired with vintage-style tuning machines to complete the vintage aesthetic.

For pickups, it has a pair of vintage-style single-coil Tele pickups which deliver a wide range of tones that are great for surf rock, shoegaze and indie. The Traditional ‘60s Telecaster is completed with knurled flat-top control knobs, a mint green pickguard, nickel/chrome plated hardware and is available with a gloss finish in either Lake Placid Blue or Vintage White.
