Fender Japan LTD Traditional '60s Jazzmaster, Left Handed, Surf Green Overview
This lovely Surf Green Made in Japan Fender Traditional '60s Jazzmaster Left Handed instrument is made by Fender Japan. Finished in classic Surf Green, it features a matching Surf Green headstock and vintage '60s styling. The Fender Made in Japan (MIJ) guitars offer the Fender disciple a guitar that comes with something alternative to the regular Fender models.
This very special Left Handed Fender MIJ Traditional ‘60s Jazzmaster is presented in a stunning Surf Green colour scheme, with matching headstock. Beautifully built, as with all Fender MIJ (Made In Japan) models, this particular guitar is a limited edition Special Run model, with the result that very few will get the pleasure of playing it! Being a Traditional ‘60s model, this Jazzmaster combines a unique colourway with tone and feel straight out of this golden era in Fender’s history.
Limited Edition
For those who have experienced Fender’s MIJ models, there really can be no going back. These instruments demonstrate an obsessive dedication to the highest levels of build and finish quality; truly world class. As a result, we try to get them in stock whenever possible, which can be challenging due to their still limited availability in the UK. This guitar is even more rarefied, being a highly limited Special Run model.
Iconic Instrument
The Jazzmaster is the undisputed King of Fender’s electric guitar lineup. This Left Handed MIJ Traditional ‘60s Jazzmaster is designed to evoke the look and feel of the Jazzmasters produced during the guitar’s first full decade of production, after its release in 1958 as a premium guitar to top the brand’s range. Since then, its appeal has widened, with guitarists across generations and genres adopting it as their go-to instrument, attracted by its combination of stand-out looks and distinctive tone.
Stunning Looks
This guitar further exaggerates the Jazzmaster’s visual impact, thanks to its unique Surf Green colourway and body-matching headstock cap. In terms of feel and tone, however, it’s exactly as the ‘60s designers intended. Sophisticated circuitry enables the MIJ Traditional ‘60s Jazzmaster Left Handed to span a wide sonic palette. The neck pickup is still capable of those smooth, warm jazz tones you’d expect, but the fat snarl of the bridge is only the flick of a switch away.
Comfortable Playability
The “U”-shaped neck is thicker than a standard “C”-profile, giving it a nice chunk in the hand, while the Rosewood fretboard has a 7.25” radius for a more traditional feel. 21 vintage-style frets span the ‘board, with a 25.5” scale length allowing a certain level of twang, usually associated with Fender guitars
