Does the job. The end caps of the short posts at the neck end can snag the strings of you're not very careful, which I'm not keen on.

I was very disappointed with this guitar stand, despite the fact that it bears the Fender name. It was incredibly difficult to assemble - the support that fits into the base of the stand was that tight, (it required a great deal of brute force and twisting, turning and so on) to get the stand assembled) that I got to the point of literally throwing the thing in the bin! This product was, in my opinion, a very badly made thing and does not reflect the usual very high quality that you would expect from Fender.
