Fender Special Edition Road Worn Hot Rod Tele, Ash Body, 3 Tone Sunburst Overview

Fender Special Edition Road Worn Hot Rod Tele, Ash Body, 3 Tone Sunburst overview by GAK

This 2017 Limited Edition Road Worn Hot Rod Telecaster is loaded with a classic Nocaster single-coil Tele pickup and a Seymour Duncan '59 Humbucker pickup in the neck position. Like any classic recipe, this combination of flavours keeps delivering. One piece Maple Neck, Ash Body, Modern Wiring, Humbucker in the Neck and Single coil in the bridge gives you: a) An extremely versatile guitar - The inbetween position is the perfect Rhythm sound, knock it forward to the Neck for lead lines or solos, it's also great for Jazz. Or, knock it back to the bridge and roll the tone half-way back for the PERFECT Rock'n'Roll sound. b) A great studio guitar, track the Rhythm, then track the melody, then track some nice single notes without even having to change amp sounds or put your guitar down. It really is a smorgasboard of tones at you fingertips. Chocolately and Robust.

Topped by an extra fret, 22 narrow-tall 6105 style frets for easy bending, the 9.5″” radius maple fingerboard is ideal for most playing styles, making sure it won't fret-out or buzz. The solid BRASS saddles add a lot of sustain to the equation. Limited to 165 pieces.

The 10/56 style Neck (a large, soft-V style neck) has a chunky, yet comfortable feel to it. But the real important feature of the neck shape is the MASS that it adds to the guitar, therefore making it more resonant. Pickup modifications include the twangy Nocaster singlecoil in the bridge and the Seymour Duncan '59 Humbucker. The Seymour Duncan is a solid reliable pickup with GREAT Tone. The Nocaster Bridge pickup is THE Classic Telecaster tone.
Aged to perfection for those who prize older instruments with the battered look of years on the road and the scars of countless gigs can still have that authentically aged vibe without spending decades on the road themselves. The irresistibly cool look of finish worn through to the body wood, rusted hardware, and a relic neck. The Road Worn ’50s Telecaster sounds, looks and feels like it’s been there and back, has more than a few miles on it, and then some. With authentic 1950s styling aged to impart a lifetime of wear and tear that has somehow made it get even better, it’s a must-have for the guitar player who appreciates broken-in look and vibe.
