Gibson Acoustic J-45 Cutaway, Heritage Cherry Sunburst Overview

The iconic J-45 is without a doubt one of Gibson's most beloved and famous acoustic guitars. Its dark, rich, and full tone has intoxicated countless players since its introduction in 1942, and features on innumerable famous recordings.

This model, which stays true to Gibson's original vision of an understated, no-frills workhorse, also features a cutaway to enable easy access to the higher frets. The solid Sitka Spruce topped body with Mahogany back and sides, preserves the classic presence, tone, and timbre of the standard J-45 - as does the hand-scalloped X-bracing, and compound dovetail neck joint - both of which also pay tribute to the expert craftsmanship of Gibson's acoustic luthiers. Likewise, the mother-of pearl inlayed fingerboard, which is crafted from high-grade Rosewood, is of the highest quality, and serves to add a unique definition to the classic tone of this instrument. Amplification without loss of quality is easily accessed via the excellent LR Baggs's VTC acoustic pickup system.

Gibson have yet again produced a glorious and high quality update to a classic instrument - one which must be of interest to any acoustic aficionado.
