This custom order 'Made to Measure' Gibson 2018 Custom Shop '58 Les Paul Standard is an awesome guitar which offers many of the refinements that the Custom Shop has been working on over many years in a stunning package. So what we have is a one-piece, non weight-relieved, 'ultra-light' Mahogany red aniline dyed body, one-piece Mahogany neck with a long tenon, hide glue fitted neck, top and fingerboard, historically accurate deluxe Kluson tuners, True Historic Spec plastic parts and a pair of now legendary Custombucker pickups. The beautiful Maple top has been hand-picked and been double stained to enhance the grain as much as possible. 

The serial numbers is period correct too- just like if you'd picked one up in a store in the late fifties. This guitar has a beautiful gloss nitrocellulose finish, no artificial ageing here, you get to do it yourself! The neck profile is late 50's rounded which many believe gives a fatter tone, the fretwire is Nickel Silver Jescar FW50078 medium size. Includes Custom Shop reissue case and 2018 Historic Certificate of Authenticity.
