Gibson Custom Product Overview

It isn't often that Gibson come up with a completely new design- so many of the legendary guitars of the last 65 years have been conceived by this iconic brand and we think this new Modern Double Cut Standard could well become a modern classic.

At its heart it is classic Gibson in design and shares much of the construction, feel and tone of its siblings in the Gibson Custom Shop. Starting with a non-weight relieved solid Mahogany body with a two-piece Maple cap loaded with Alnico II '57 Classic/Classic Plus pickups, a set Mahogany neck with extra-long neck tenon and solid Rosewood fingerboard we know we're going to get a beautiful, singing tone with loads of sustain.

The elegant new body shape is perfectly balanced, there's a ribcage contour for comfort, a swept neck heel that allows easy access to all 24 frets and the new Apex headstock carve gives strength and stability.
