Gibson Custom Limited Original F-9 Mandolin, Honeycomb Burst Overview
Gibson Custom Limited Original F-9 Mandolin Overview by GAK:
The Gibson F-9 Mandolin is a stripped down version of the F-5 mandolin that has become famous in the hands of people like Bill Monroe, Ricky Skaggs, Sam Bush and so many others. But the F-9 maintains all the design features that give the F-5 its legendary tone, including a hand-fitted dovetail neck joint, solid maple neck, back and sides, solid spruce top, and a hand-tuned tone chamber. The stunning limited edition Honeycomb Burst satin lacquer finish really is gorgeous with the ivoroid bound top, flat Rosewood fretboard, adjustable Rosewood bridge, Grover tuning machines, traditional engraved tailpiece and tone bar bracing sealing the deal. Has a purity of tone not often found at the F-9 price point with excellent clarity and note separation.
