Unmistakable 1960's flare spills from this unique Gibson model, inspired by the distinctly angular tailfins of American cars from the same era, the 2018 Firebird is a stylish piece of history with an unmistakable tone and feel.

The 2018 Firebird's body is constructed of solid mahogany giving it generous resonance and deep low-end. The Neck is also mahogany with a scale length of just under 25 inches and lined with acrylic trapezoid inlays. Fingerboard material is Torrefied Granadillo, a straight grained Cuban wood hailed as "the wood that sings", to the trained ear, it produces a slightly brighter tone than Rosewood.

The Firebirds neck is slim taper with a neck through body construction, it's incredibly light-weight yet durable and solid. The frets on the 2018 Firebird have been cryogenically treated, a process that distributes the metal in a precisely even way resulting in increased strength, durability and rust resistance.

The Firebird's pickups are a pair of classic looking Firebird mini humbuckers. These classic pickups have a lower output than a full size or single coil, yet produce a brighter tone with more chime, extra bite and treble. Producing a distinctly clear and focused sound.

The Gibson 2018 Firebird features trusted hardware including the Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminium stop bar. The ebony reverse headstock features silver mini Grover tuners and the classic script logo in gold. Control knobs on the Firebird are black hats with silver inserts, complimenting the vivid white 3ply pickguard with Firebird logo and its beautiful vintage sunburst finish.
