Gibson Memphis 2016 1964 ES-345 TDC Maestro VOS (Sixties Cherry) Overview

This meticulous reissue from Gibson Memphis is your chance to own a period-correct 1964 ES-345 - complete with Maestro vibrato tailpiece. From the historically correct body with 1960s VOS finish right down to the historic truss rod, split parallelogram inlays, and 1964 Rounded "C" neck profile with hot hide glue construction, the 1964 ES-345 is a vintage Gibson-lover's dream. PAF-inspired alnico MHS pickups and 6-way Varitone circuit let you dial in a wide range of killer guitar tones for rock, blues, and jazz. This premium guitar delivers the feel, look, vibe, and sound you'd expect from a true vintage instrument.

Gibson Memphis built the 1964 ES-345 semi-hollowbody electric guitar to vintage specs for an instrument that plays just like an original. The ES-345's neck and body are built using hot hide glue, which many vintage guitar enthusiasts argue sounds better than synthetic glue. This guitar comes equipped with a Maestro vibrato tailpiece to add extra texture to your chords and melodies. Gibson Memphis was even thoughtful enough to include an engraved gold plaque covering screw holes in case you ever want to transition to a stoptail (not included). Just like the original '64, this guitar is a lightweight wonder to play.

Tonal excellence is yours when you plug the Gibson Memphis 1964 ES-345 Reissue in. Loaded with a pair of PAF-inspired MHS alnico pickups, each with its own volume and tone controls, you'll be able to dial in chiming country tones as easily as savagely distorted rock sounds. The Alnico III neck pickup gives you classic hollowbody-style tones for everything from smooth jazz to dirty blues. Flip to the Alnico II bridge pickup, and you'll command sounds covering everything from bright and clean to raw and mean. Hurry though, this limited run won't be around for long!
