Since its introduction in 1949 the ES-175 has been a favourite amongst a wide range of players and styles of music- from jazz to rock, pop and blues. This beautiful figured-top example is the latest incarnation of the evolution of this venerable model, tweaking and improving wherever possible but maintaining true to its classic design.
So we have a three ply fully hollow Maple body with beautiful figuring- Gibson Memphis reserve their best timbers for their natural finish models! The set Mahogany rounded 'C' profile neck has a 1-piece Rosewood fingerboard with split parallelogram inlays and rolled binding for fantastic playing comfort. There's a 1.6875" bone nut and a set of Milk Bottle Grover Rotomatic tuners.
A pair of the legendary Alnico II '57 Classic humbuckers can turn their hands to a great range of PAF-style tones sounding warm, round, clear, and articulate but with bite if necessary. The bridge is a ABR-1 with exceptionally durable titanium saddles and there's a historically inspired Three Diamond Trapeze. All wrapped up in a shiny gloss Antique Natural nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Hardshell case included.
