Gibson Memphis Limited ES-335, 1970s Walnut Overview

Gibson Memphis Limited ES-335 Overview by GAK:

Let's face it, the 1970s wasn't a classic decade for Gibson. They weren't alone in the guitar business with being taken over by a corporation and standards taking a bit of a dive. They did have some cool looking guitars though! So here's your chance to get a cool, retro looking 335 built to the excellent standards of Gibson's modern Memphis custom shop!

So we have the usual three-ply Maple/Poplar/Maple laminate for the body, pressed on the same press that has been used since the 1950s. THe Mahogany set neck has a rounded "C" neck shape with rolled binding for a really comfortable feel and small pearloid block inlays on the dark Rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are the legendary '57 Classics which offer great PAF tone but with bite when required. The nickel plated ABR-1 bridge has super-durable titanium saddles and the standard stop tailpiece has locking studs for extra stability.

In a further cosmetic nod to the 70's there's that gorgeous walnut stain finish, Kluson style tuners (with bolt bushings and improved 15:1 ratio though) and "Witch Hat" knobs. One of a limited run for 2017. Fitted hardshell case included.
