Manufactured in Gibson's USA Nashville factory the 'S' Series M2 is Gibson's modern take on that classic student guitar, the Melody Maker! A real player's guitar the M2 features a solid Poplar body with a glued-in one-piece Maple neck with the legendary Slim Taper profile. There's a really thin nitrocellulose finish which lets the wood breathe and will facilitate some cool ageing pretty quick, these guitars will relic great! The body has a light gloss nitro finish and the neck a light satin nitro finish making it feel fast and smooth. There's a one-piece Rosewood fingerboard and a slippy Tektoid nut.

The electronics are straightforward: a calibrated pair of USA-made Pro-Bucker humbuckers with Alnico V magnets are switched with a three-way toggle and a single volume and tone control. There's a wraparound bridge just like the entry-level instruments throughout Gibson's long history. Includes a padded gigbag. Overall a very cool guitar with some really funky finishes offering amazing value for money for a genuine Gibson USA instrument.
