Gravity MS 2222 B Short Round Base Boom Microphone Stand Overview
The Gravity MS 2222 B Short Round Base Boom Microphone Stand
Strong, sturdy, and versatile, the Gravity MS 2222 B is a short, boom microphone stand that you will keep on finding uses for over and over again. Built from rugged, thick-walled steel tubing, the stand extends vertically from 48cm up to 73cm with an extendable boom reaching up to 88cm in length making it useful in so many micing up situations it would be folly to try and list them here. The black powder-coating of the main tubing is comlimented by the adjustment handles and knobs, which are all made from high-grade ABS with a non-slip, soft-touch coating, making the Gravity MS 2222 B as easy on the hands as it is on the eyes. Extending the boom itself is also very easy thanks to the incredibly tough quick-release catch (rather than a screw clamp) for the boom extension. Getting the mic in the right place has never been easier.
For incredible stability with such a small footprint, the 270mm diameter base is made from cast iron and weighs in at 3.6kg itself. Instead of individual rubber feet which can affect stability, the MS 2222 B has a single rubber foot that runs around the entire circumferance of the bottom of the base. Not only that but if you're using a particularly heavy mic in a precarious position, the Gravity MS 2222 B is copmatible with Gravity's VARIWEIGHT®. This allows you to simply screw on a the VARIWEIGHT® Gravity MS 2 WP weight plate to the underside of the base, adding a futher 2.3kg to increase the already impressive stability without needing any tools.
