Gretsch G6128TLH Players Edition Jet FT with Bigsby Left Handed Black Overview

Combining over five decades of tonal magic with unquestionable Gretsch know-how, the G6128TLH Players Edition Jet will take you way back to Gretsch's golden age. Two TV Jones® Power'Tron™ pickups provide the classic power and tone associated with the Jet, while a No-load master tone pot with Squeezebox™ paper-in-oil capacitor, and master volume with treble bleed circuit, give complete tonal control and constant clarity regardless of volume.

The timeless Gretsch excellence is continued with a laminated Maple top over a highly resonant Mahogany body, which due to its generous resonance chambers, is both light and lively sounding. Players Edition control and performance is ensured by a Mahogany neck with Ebony fingerboard, which has been set lower for greater comfort; a full-access rolled cutaway, and tapered heel further enhance this guitar's incredible playability.

A pinned Rosewood-based Adjusto-Matic™ bridge, with a premium Bigsby® B3C Vibrato Tailpiece provide the classic Gretsch juice, while Deluxe Sperzel® Locking Tuners and a synthetic bone nut provide excellent tuning stability which, when wrapped up with its timeless black finish, make this Gretsch a truly memorable guitar.

What Gretsch say:

Inspired by the pivotal and prolific years of Gretsch’s 1950s and early ’60s golden age, Vintage Select Edition guitars are designed for the player who appreciates the finest in musical instrument heritage. The new G6128T-59 Vintage Select ’59 Duo Jet with Bigsby rocks that legacy to perfection.

The Duo Jet is the Gretsch flagship “solid body” guitar, with signature power and punch coming from its chambered mahogany construction, which magnifies harmonic richness by letting air resonate between the top and body for livelier and more articulate tone. 1959 marked the first year that Filter’Tron pickups appeared on the Jet, and the dual TV Jones Classic pickups on this vintage-style baby replicate that unmistakable vintage Filter’Tron sound to fabulous sonic effect.
