This snare drum case offers outstanding protection and a really great look. The internal padding is super thick and allows plenty of room for delicate snare throw off designs. However I do have slight concerns about the clasps on the shoulder strap. I own a similar snare case from a rival company where the clasp gave up on its first outing and my precious snare drum took a dive towards the pavement. Fortunately I caught the bag just in time to avoid disaster. When my Gretsch case arrived I discovered that the clasps on this bag turned out to be a disarmingly similar design. I decided to invest in a heavy duty replacement strap to guarantee this doesn't happen again. This is an expensive product so I was hoping I wouldn't need to spend more on shoulder straps. That said, the padding on this Gretsch bag is so luxuriously thick that if the drum did fall off the shoulder it would probably bounce off the pavement and back into your hands unscathed! When all is said and done, it's still the best looking snare drum case on the market!
