Martin D-16E Mahogany Dreadnought Electro Acoustic Overview

Martin D-16E Mahogany Dreadnought Electro Acoustic

With a 100 year history of creating high quality acoustic guitars, Martin have once again created a masterpiece with this 16 Series Dreadnought.

Crafted with satin-finished mahogany back and sides to produce a big sound with punchy mid-range, bright treble, and tight low end response, this classic shaped Martin dreadnought features a Spruce gloss top to enhance its balanced tone and projection, and provide the perfect instrument for stage, recording, or sofa.

Delivering a distinctive yet traditional Martin timbre, and complimented by a 20 fret ebony fingerboard and a high-performance neck taper, the D-16E feels comfortable to play whether using a pick for chugging rhythms, or fingers for delicate melody; ease, confidence, and playability are the key words here.

Attention to detail is another of Martin's trademarks, and this example is no exception - the D-16E features classic tortoiseshell binding and pickguard, while the Bold Herringbone with Multi-Stripe Rosette adds to the classic yet subtle aesthetic.

The D-16E is equipped with Fishman® Matrix VT Enhance NT2 electronics and strung with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan® 2.0 light gauge strings to produce an outstanding, natural, and unique acoustic or amplified sound.

An outstanding and timeless acoustic guitar, worthy of the attention of any acoustic connoisseur.
