Ibanez AEG10NII Grand Auditorium Acoustic, Natural Overview

One of the most popular electro acoustic ranges in the Ibanez catalogue, the AEG Series is based around a sleek, slender, single cut-away body shape. Easy playability, fantastic build quality and an inbuilt pickup/preamp makes these guitars the perfect stage workhorse.

The AEG10IIN Nylon is constructed using a Spruce top, Mahogany back & sides and a Rosewood fretboard. The neck carve is slim and comfortable, making this a very playable instrument. The pickup system is a Fishman Sonicore piezo and an Ibanez preamp with onboard tuner. The warm, sparkling tone of the AEG10IIN is perfect for both finger-style and rhythmic playing styles.

You get a lot for your money with this guitar. The build quality is spot on, the controls include a tuner and when plugged in it sounds really nice. Unplugged the sound is good enough, perhaps a bit thin which is why I've deducted a star. However for the money I don't think you could do any better. Nice low action too which is handy for a bit of Flamenco. Thoroughly recommend this guitar

Ibanez are not a maker you would associate with this style of guitar however, at just over £200 its excellent value. The guitar has a straight grained attractive soundboard and is nicely finished to a good standard gloss front with satin neck that would shame guitars costing 3 times the price. The pre-amp includes a tuner which is reasonably stable and accurate and more than good enough for tuning up at home. The tone, playability and workmanship in my opinion can't be faulted for the price.
