Ibanez AS53 Artcore Hollow Body, Trans Black Flat Overview

The AS is a semi-acoustic guitar built to tackle just about any genre of music you throw at it. The AS53 features a beautiful Sapele top, back, and sides with compact semi-hollow style in transparent flat finishes. The moderate output "ACH" pickups feature warm tone and quick response and are mounted into a sustain block for increased sustain and feedback elimination. The slim & comfortable Artcore set-in neck features a 17th fret joint giving comfortable access to higher notes.

My first semi hollow and my first Ibanez and I am impressed with it. Well built and sounds good enough for someone at my level of playing. Got quite a nice tone unplugged too. The guitar was well enough set up out of the box but I lowered the action height to my preference and it plays so much better now. It has a good quality feel and finish to it. I love in a truck all week so I had always wanted a semi hollow so I don't need to take an amp( an amp gets a lot of electrical interference in the truck). It plays as easy as an electric and isn't as bulky as an acoustic so it's ideal for me. For £250 I'd recommend this guitar for anyone looking for a first semi hollow. I'm loving it so far.
