Ibanez BTB1835 5 String Bass, Natural Shadow Low Gloss Overview
This model is part of the BTB range, which uses a slightly longer 35” scale length for better stability, and each model has a ‘zero fret’ to give open notes the same resonant sound as a fretted note. This 5-string model has an Ash body, with Bubinga top and back, Bubinga being a strong and naturally stable wood and provides a rich and full sound, a 9-piece Maple, Bubinga and Panga Panga neck with Graphite Reinforcement rods to make the neck super strong and stable, and a Panga Panga fretboard. It also has an Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ and EQ bypass switch, Gotoh machine heads, and two Aguilar DCB pickups, which use a dual-ceramic bar design to provide a full-bodied tone and great sustain.
