Ibanez GAX30 Gio, Trans Cherry Overview

The Ibanez GAX30 electric guitar may have an entry-level price tag, but it fights well above its weight in terms of spec and feel.

Body
Crafted from agathis, the body produces a surprisingly girthy tone, even despite of its light weight. It's slim and lightly contoured body's shaped to fit snugly against your ribs. These two factors combine to make this guitar perfect for smaller players that don't want to sacrifice tone and settle for a 3/4 or or 7/8 scale guitar, without comprising it as just a regular guitar for everyone else.

Neck
Fitted to the slim body is a slim, fast, and solid, maple neck. On which sits a rosewood 'board that's a touch wider than most hardtail guitars. A direct influence of this guitars Floyd Rose equipped bigger brothers. This wider 'board makes positioning when playing chords and/or executing speedy licks a breeze, and simple dot position inlays help guide you around.

Controls and Pickups
Dual Ibanez Infinity Series Humbuckers do the important job of getting the tone out of the guitar and into the amp, whilst a minimal volume, tone, and three-way switch set-up keep things simple, leaving you to focus on your playing.

Hardware
Ibanez guitars are renowned for their innovative hardware, from the introduction of the original Edge trem system back in '87, to current designs like the Tight-End, Ibanez pay more attention to these crucial details than most manufacturers. And this is a level of detail that doesn't stop with the Gio series. What we have here on the GAX30 is a simple fixed bridge, but a simple fixed bridge that gives you a solid, anchored feel, upholding intonation and string position securely under the edge of your palm. Allowing you to mercilessly riff, of scorchingly solo on and on.

All-in-all the GAX30 gives you total faith in it's ability to stand up to anything you can throw at it.
