The latest in the long line of Joe Satriani signature models is a further refinement of the original JS released back in 1988. Joe has been gradually tweaking his guitar design into what could be considered the ultimate high-performance instrument.

Starting with an Alder body finished in an awesome new Muscle Car Purple finish the body is loaded with the legendary, original Edge tremolo bridge. This bridge is the choice of Joe (and other double-locking trem users such as Steve Vai) for a reason- it is the best. But it has been improved with the inclusion of the UTA20 Ultralite tremolo arm- made from carbon graphite it is lighter, stiffer and more responsive than the old metal version.

Electronics wise the Alnico V DiMarzio® Mo' Joe has more power than the original FRED pickup Joe used but it doesn't sacrifice clarity or dynamics and harmonics jump out at the touch of a guitar pick! In the neck position the ceramic Satch Track bridges the gap between classic humbucker and single-coil performance. It tracks pick attack and string vibration quickly and accurately like a single-coil, but the voicing is wider and stronger, like a humbucker. For ultimate versatility a high pass filter on the volume pot maintains highs at low volumes and a push/pull coil tap adds sound and tonal variations for both pickups.

The neck is three piece Maple/Bubinga with the Bubinga stripe providing extra stability and longer sustain. The Rosewood fingerboard has a 10" radius and 24 narrow & tall 6105 frets. These frets have the Prestige fret edge treatment giving a fantastically smooth and fast feeling to the neck.
