Ibanez RGDIR6M Iron Label, Laser Blue Matte Overview
The Ibanez RGDIR6M-LBM Iron Label is an awesome guitar designed to offer a slightly lower voice than a regular guitar. With a 26.5" scale length the RGDIR6M is tuned D to D from the factory and the extra inch on the scale length compensates nicely in terms of tension. Of course this guitar would be more suitable than most for down-tuning even further with heavier strings.
Featuring a solid Mahogany body, the Nitro Wizard 3pc Maple/Purpleheart neck is slim and ultra-playable. The Birdseye Maple fingerboard is topped with with Jumbo frets. No frills electrics comprise a pair of ceramic DiMarzio® Fusion Edge Pickups- these have been developed through close collaboration between Ibanez and DiMarzio and have been engineered to produce a powerful, distinctive tone with a crisp, cutting high end, and a tight, compressed bottom end, minus any muddy mid-range. The bridge is the solid, comfortable Gibraltar Standard II and there's a set of Gotoh® MG-T locking machine heads which offer top-notch tuning stability and quick re-stringing.
