I wanted a guitar that could become my go-to instrument for when I needed standard(ish) tunings; most of my other guitars are down-tuned and setup for those tunings. I first heard of these Ibanez guitars after all the news announced at NAMM, and I knew straight away that I had to get one - fixed bridge, one-piece neck!? MIIIINE!!! The guitar has a solid construction, the tone is also excellent and both produce a quality of guitar that is, in my opinion, far beyond its price point. You are getting a lot of good guitar for your money with this instrument! The Jatoba fingerboard is really nice and dense too, so if you're a metal player, you have a nice solid journey across the frets! No potholes here! The only thing that let the guitar down (and why it's not 5 stars), again in my opinion, but is completely acceptable within the parameters of the price, are the pickups. For me they became a bit "honky", and I am considering replacing them with something more premium. But for a beginner - intermediate guitar, the pickups are really very adequate. All-in-all, this is a brilliant guitar for the price, and I'm even considering getting another at a later date! (A Black one ;-) ) Rock on!
