A long-time favourite the mighty SR300B follows a tried and tested formula. Featuring a slimline, contoured Mahogany body with a a fast 5pc Maple neck and Rosewood fingerboard and 24 medium profile frets.The solid Accu-cast B120 Bridge has extra-wide string slots that can accommodate even the heaviest of gauges should you choose. Walls and channels of the new bridge plate effectively "trap" the saddles, ensuring perfect directional uniformity.
The two passive CAP EXF-N2 pickups utilise an arched construction which sets each string at equal distance to the pickup, resulting in balanced volume output. In terms of sonic character, these humbuckers are often described as "punchy." High quality shielding eliminates unwanted noise.
The Ibanez Custom Electronics active preamp has 3-band eq and is an improvement on the concept of simple EQ control. Boost and cut of Mid Control are each centered on a slightly different frequencies, an innovation that delivers a preset range of the most favourable bass tones.
